About Sonkim Land

SonKim Land (SKL) is the name behind some award-winning condo projects on Vietnam Property Awards platform. Being a leading developer of up-market properties, Sonkim Land has left its signatures on some prestigious projects in Vietnam. Those properties include the Indochine Park Tower and the Empress Tower in HCM City; the Sentinel Place in Hanoi and the Blue Ocean Resort in beach town of Mui Ne.

Sonkim Land, nevertheless, is the pioneer of the “luxury boutique home” concept. The Company is currently working on the development of next hi-end projects in HCM City namely the Gateway Thao Dien, The Nassim and Serenity Sky Villas. There is no surprise with the Gateway Thao Dien recognized as the Best Condo Development (Vietnam) and Best Luxury Condo Development (HCMC) in 2015, and then, the Nassim with the same titles for 2016.

History of Sonkim Group

Sonkim Land is a subdivision of Sonkim Group which in turn is a reincarnation of a reputable business enterprise of the 1950’s, Dai Thanh garment factory.

During the late 1970’s and the 1980’s of the post-war period Dai Thanh had a hard time operating as a state-own cooperative. However, thanks to great efforts of the founders and workers, it survived the time and even won a few awards granted by the State for its outstanding contribution to the local economy. Those hard-earned trophies were the Third-Grade Trade & Industry medal in 1982 and Second-Grade Trade & Industry medal in 1984.

Early 1990’s with the private sector officially recognized by the State, successors of Dai Thanh founded Son Kim as a private limited company in 1993 and later Sonkim Group. Sonkim Group on the one hand expanded the company’s traditional garment business to fashion design and manufacturing, and on the other hand started venturing further into the newly emerging businesses including retail, real estate and media.

Sonkim Land therefore came into being and it’s first property project was the Sentinel Place. The building was before long awarded “Best Office Development” in Vietnam by Asia Pacific Property in association with Bloomberg Television in 2011.

Like other divisions in the Group, Sonkim Land seeks to grow by developing outstanding teams, working with the best partners from around the world and creating world-class living spaces for Vietnam’s high-end customers. The Company has become trusted partners of Hong Kong Land, Hamon Developments, Bank Invest and others.

Brief introduction on Sonkim Land’s projects:

GATEWAY THAO DIEN

The Gateway Thao Dien is located at Thao Dien Ward, District 2, HCM City. It is a luxury compound of residential and serviced aparments combining with branded retail space. The compound sits right on the metro Route 1, short distance to Station 7. The compound is estimated to complete in the 3rd Quarter of 2017.

Hamon Developments is the key partner to Sonkim Land in the Gateway Thao Dien project. Founded in 1989, the Hamon Group is a privately owned asset management and private equity invest group based in Hong Kong. The Group focuses their business in the Asian countries and is currently managing US$1.1 billion of asset value. Beside other businesses including film production, financial services and social media platforms, the private equity invests in development and management of luxury real estate projects.

The project is supported by OCB Bank while buyers by OCB, VID and VCB.

SERENITY SKY VILLAS

Serenity Sky Villas is Sonkim Land’s next project of top-end housing development. The compound is located at District 3, HCM City. It showcases 45 exclusive residences enjoy the upmost privacy and luxury in the centre of the city. Nevertheless, it boasts a double-height ceiling and private swimming pools offer stunning views, culminating in an unsurpassed feeling of light and space. The project is scheduled to complete in the 3rd Quarter of 2018.

Key partner to Sonkim Land in this project is URBNarc, a fully-integrated architecture firm founded by Gaurang Khemk. The firm is globally recognized thanks to its innovative design solutions. Its architectural masterpieces have won some most respected awards in the industry including:

  • the International Property Awards for the awe-inspiring 5-star beach resort Alila Seminyak in Indonesia
  • and the prestigious Singapore Institute of Architects Annual Awards for the highly acclaimed Indian Heritage Centre in Singapore.

URBNarc was also a chosen advisor to IFC (World Bank) for Northern Sri Lanka’s Tourism Master Plan being now under development.

THE NASSIM

The Nassim is schedule to complete in the 4th Quater of 2017. This luxury compound is located in Thao Dien Ward, District 2, HCM City.

The Nassim is a luxury residential development with full river view.
